Welcome to Verdant Bloom Store’s FAQ page, where we nurture your curiosity as carefully as we cultivate our seeds. Below you’ll find answers to common questions about our global gardening community.
About Our Products
What types of plants does Verdant Bloom specialize in?
We offer a carefully curated selection including ornamental flowers (like Ageratum and Bells of Ireland), heritage vegetables, aromatic herbs (such as multiple Basil varieties), and unique botanical specimens (including Asclepias and Artichokes). Our collection celebrates both beauty and biodiversity.
Are your seeds heirloom or hybrid varieties?
We offer both! Many of our varieties (like heritage beans and Amaranthus) are heirlooms with generations of history, while others are modern hybrids selected for exceptional performance. Each product listing specifies the variety type.
How do you ensure seed viability during shipping?
Our horticulture team packages all seeds in temperature-stable materials, using breathable and often biodegradable packaging. We rotate our seed stock regularly and test germination rates to ensure you receive living potential, not just dried seeds.
Ordering & Account Questions
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, and PayPalâall processed through secure encrypted systems to protect your information while investing in your garden’s future.
Can I create an account to track my orders?
While we currently don’t offer account creation, every order receives detailed tracking information via email. Our team can always assist with order historyâjust contact us at [email protected].
Do you offer bulk discounts for large orders?
For orders exceeding $200, we’re happy to discuss volume pricingâparticularly beneficial for community gardens or landscaping projects. Email us with your plant list and we’ll cultivate a customized solution.
Shipping & Delivery
What are my shipping options?
We offer two mindful choices:
Standard Shipping ($12.95): Via DHL/FedEx in 10-15 days with tracking
Free Shipping: Via EMS for orders over $50, arriving in 15-25 days
Standard Shipping ($12.95): Via DHL/FedEx in 10-15 days with tracking
Free Shipping: Via EMS for orders over $50, arriving in 15-25 days
Why don’t you ship to some Asian and remote regions?
Certain agricultural restrictions and unreliable delivery infrastructures in these areas might compromise plant health or violate phytosanitary laws. We prioritize responsible distribution that honors our plants’ integrity.
How are live plants packaged for international shipping?
Our nursery team uses breathable, cushioned materials and strategic pruning to minimize transplant shock. Plants are shipped at optimal growth stages and include detailed acclimatization instructions.
Note: Delivery times may vary during peak seasons or due to customs processingâfactors beyond our control that we appreciate your understanding about.
Returns & Guarantees
What if my order arrives damaged?
We offer a 15-day return window from delivery date for damaged items. Please email [email protected] with photos of the damage and your order number. We’ll either replace the items or refund your purchaseâyour choice.
My seeds didn’t germinate well. What should I do?
While we test all seeds for viability, germination depends on many factors. Contact us within 60 days of planting with details about your process, and we’ll gladly send replacement seeds or gardening advice from our horticulturists.
Can I return plants that don’t thrive in my garden?
As living organisms, plants’ success depends on local conditions beyond our control. While we can’t accept returns for plants that simply don’t thrive, we’re always happy to provide cultivation advice tailored to your environment.
Growing Advice
Do you provide planting instructions?
Absolutely! Every order includes detailed instructions specific to your varieties, plus seasonal tips from our horticulture team. Our website also offers growing guides for many species under the “Plant Heritage” section of each product page.
Can you advise me on creating a cutting garden?
We’d be delighted! Our show-stopping Celosias, Ammi, and Bells of Ireland make excellent cutting flowers. Email us with your climate zone and aesthetic preferences, and we’ll suggest combinations that bloom sequentially for continuous bouquets.
Why do some of your plants include heritage information?
We believe understanding a plant’s storyâwhether it’s an immigrant basil variety or a Native American corn companionâdeepens the gardening experience. These narratives often contain cultivation wisdom passed down through generations.
