At Verdant Bloom Store, we take as much care in ensuring your satisfaction as we do in selecting our heirloom seeds and garden varieties. While we hope every purchase brings your garden to life, we understand that sometimes returns or exchanges are necessary. Our policy is designed to be as straightforward as planting a seed.
Our Return & Exchange Promise
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of your receipt date for most items. To be eligible, items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in the same condition as when you received them.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items nurture different needs and cannot be returned:
- Live plants (including asparagus crowns and artichoke starts)
- Bed preparation tools that have been used
- Digital downloads or virtual products
- Perishable goods like certain herbs (basil, anise hyssop) that may not survive transit
The Return Process
Follow these simple steps to return or exchange an item:
- Initiate Your Request: Email us at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use our template below for faster processing.
- Wait for Approval: Our garden care team will review your request within 2 business days and provide return instructions.
- Package Your Items: Securely pack the items in their original packaging. For seeds, please ensure all packets are sealed.

Refund Information
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll send you an email notification. Your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days, depending on your payment method:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 5-7 business days to reflect on your statement
- PayPal: Typically within 24 hours after processing
Original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we’ll cover the shipping costs to send your replacement items.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your garden treasures arrive damaged or incorrect, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the items and packaging. We’ll happily send replacements at no additional cost.
International Returns
For our global gardeners (excluding certain Asian and remote regions), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for valuable items.
